Bankroll management — Smart money management in the casino (1-3% rule)

Bankroll management is the most important skill for professional players. Here is the Hungarian guide to smart money management.

What is a bankroll?

Your money that you can lose by gambling . NEVER mix it with your living money!

1-3% rule

A session bet size should NEVER exceed 1-3% of your bankroll. Example:

• Bankroll: 100,000 HUF
• 1% rule: 1000 HUF / bet
• 3% rule: 3000 HUF / bet

Session limit

• Time limit: max 2 hours / session
• Loss limit: 20-30% of bankroll per session
• Win limit: if you double — withdraw half the winnings, continue half

Profit withdrawal

• For every larger win (5x+ stake) — half withdrawal
• Weekly settlement: win/loss table
• At least 1x withdrawal per month (money left at the casino "does not exist")

Example plan with 50,000 HUF

1. 1st session — max HUF 1,500/bet, loss limit HUF 15,000
2. Stop if you have lost 15,000 HUF OR increased to 70,000 HUF
3. If 70,000 HUF: withdraw 20,000 HUF, play with 50,000 HUF
4. At the end of the week: settlement

Psychological tips

• Avoiding bans — don't increase your bet after a loss
• Tea/break every 30 minutes
